My question, William, which I hope you respond to, is why, when Bush passed similar budgets laden with pork and earmarks, was there no outrage, with a post dedicated to pointing out the sad fact that in order to pass a bill in this government, there need to be efforts to make the voters (congress) happy?

You claim to be a proponent of capitalism, yet never once said a word about the fact that the Bush administration was attempting to influence the market by rescuing banks that had failed in the free market.

You use cute phrases like "hopenchange," you don't even bother to attempt an understanding of what "oyster recovery", and your views are clearly biased, yet you call yourself a "journalist" (which implies no bias).

Before you assume I am an Obama supporter/liberal, let me assure you that I am not. I am a supporter of a (legitimate) free market and personal freedom, and believe that the banks and companies that are going bankrupt are those that were run poorly, and therefore deserve to fail, whether or not it will hurt the overall economy. I believe that all bailouts/stimulus packages are nonsense, as they are a government effort to manipulate a (supposedly) free market.

My problem is that you tend to turn everything into a partisan issue, no matter how much you say that you are not doing that, and that your methods are shallow and superficial. If you want to call yourself a journalist, do some research, gain an understanding of your topic, and stop paraphrasing everything that foxnews.com says.
